Come Winter with Us! It’s Bigger and Better than ever before!
Join us along the lake/Lakeshore Drive for a weekend of winter fun that the entire family can enjoy!
Here's what you can expect this Family Day Weekend:
Friday, February 14
Valentine’s Day Carriage Rides
- 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Centennial Park Parking Lot – Drop off & pick up
- Bring a blanket, your loved one and join us for a free romantic horse drawn carriage ride along Lakeshore Drive
Saturday, February 15
Lions Pancake Breakfast
- 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Lions Club (5119 50A Ave)
- Breakfast includes: pancakes, eggs, sausage, juice, coffee

Sylvan Lake Municipal Library "Frozen Party"
- 11:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Sylvan Lake Municipal Library (4715 50 Ave)
- The library is hosting another Frozen Party! Dress in your icy best and drop in to watch Disney's "Frozen". This all-ages party also includes snacks and crafts!
Decorate Your Own Snowman Pancake
- 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- The Open Range Saloon (1 Sylvan Dr)
- Come in with your family and for $5 you can decorate your own snowman pancake with icing and sprinkles. Proceeds will be donated to the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre.
Winterfest On the Lake
- 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- East side of the Pier
- Event Parking: Centennial Park, Lakefront Park and Promenade Parking Lots, Wheelchair parking available on the lake.
- Join us for some family fun on the lake. Featured activities include a Children's Ice Slide, Snow Maze, Ice Carving lessons in creating your own small ice carving to take home, Winter Carnival in our warming Igloo, Bonfires, Crokicurl, Old School Lake Curling, Skating and more!
- Free hot chocolate complements of Broadstreet Properties Ltd.
- Tow truck, bean bag toss, tug-o-war, draw for kids hosted by Lake City Services.
- 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Horse drawn sleigh rides brought to you by the Rotary Club of Sylvan Lake.
Winterfest Farmers Market
- 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Polar Bear Dip
- 1:00 PM
- West side of the Pier
- Event Parking: Lakefront Park, Centennial Park and Promenade Parking Lots.
- Pre-registration required. $22.00 Registration Fee (the minimum charity donation required to participate is $100.00)
- Raise funds for a local Sylvan Lake charity!

Fire & Ice Show
- 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- East side of the pier

- Fire Shows! Ice Carving Demos! Torch Lit Skating Night! Warm up in our igloo or beside a bonfire!

Jazz Trio @ Undercurrent Brewing

- Trio will take a break for the fireworks and resume upon completion of the fireworks

- Fish without a licence! Regulations still apply.
Calling all vendors, businesses, and organizations! Host an indoor or outdoor event throughout the weekend, such as outdoor pursuit activities, kids’ games, or other family activities.
